Sonia & Andrew's Danesfield House Winter Wedding

I loved this wedding!  On December 28th Sonia and Andrew got married at the very beautiful Danesfield House near Marlow.  These two had put so much effort into the details of the day that they deserved that amazing blue sky - never a guarantee in this country and certainly not at this time of year!

They are fantastic people and a couple who love photography - they knew that they needed to give me time on the day to make sure that I could capture every detail, every part of the story.  And they were also sympathetic to the fact that this was a full on winter wedding and I had to light most of it.

Things that I remember the most include - the sky and how amazing Danesfield House looked against it, the doves in the tower and the morning sun reflecting off the Thames.  How gorgeous the Christmas decor looked, all twinkly lights, fires and candles.  Sonia and Andrew's impeccable taste and the stunning colour palette of the wedding.  The bouquets and button holes that were works of vintage art.  Andrew's fab 3 piece suit and pocket watch.  How happy and smiley the ceremony was.  The runaway reindeer....in fact the reindeer full stop (Riverways Farm).  How nice the staff were - letting us use the bar and restaurant for pictures.  The 'Quintessentially British' corner (http://www.prettyvintagethings.co.uk
--> ) where we had a lot of fun with the girls and the pool table with the boys. How Andrew gave Sonia a photographic work of art and how funny her maid of honour, Emily's, speech was. And how Sonia really laughs - I love that about her. Oh and she can really dance too. And I remember the unplanned shots outside right at the end - which we grabbed as I was packing up the car.  The car that needed defrosting before I could head home because it was seriously icy.
Can't wait to see you both and hear about your honeymoon.  Thank you for trusting me with your big day and thank you Nikki for being a superstar second shooter and holding all that lighting gear!
