Lee & Lisa's Notley Abbey Wedding

I remember saying once that I believed that women brought lifestyle photography.  I was wrong, happily so.  Lee is just one of my grooms this year that chose the task of researching and finding the photographer for their wedding.

Back in January I had a lovely engagement shoot with them at Waddesdon Manor.

And on May 19th they married at Notley Abbey - a very romantic and beautiful medieval country house.

Bridal prep was busy with 4 bridesmaids and one flowergirl in the master bedroom suite with Lisa and the two pageboys standing guard outside!

This image is poignant for me as I have a very similar shot of my 4 bridesmaids helping each other with their dresses.

 One very excited flowergirl..

They had to be very patient  - I've found that the brides with the least distance to travel tend to be the ones that are late.

This was a very funny moment during the ceremony - Lisa's Dad was rather keen to give her away - the tears came later...

Notley is well known for the amazing tree lined driveway.  It was a windy day and Lisa had a long veil so we had some fun with it.

Love the fact that when I sent this to Lisa the day after the wedding she didn't realise it was her at first.

 The boys' patience paid off.

This was definitely on Lisa's 'would love to have' image list.

From arty to fun.  The Converse were presents from Lee and Lisa and they wanted an image to mark the moment.  Again a request that I was happy to help capture for them.

The speeches were the usual wonderful mix of laughter, tears, humiliation and love.

I love a venue that holds it own in the dark!  Just before I bid these two goodnight we took a few more shots with a different feel.

Look forward to seeing you both soon to show you the full story. xx
