Pre Wedding Shoot - Jon & Angela

Last weekend I spent a lovely morning with Jon and Angela, firstly in Bladon to have a look around the church and shoot some pre-wedding imagery, and then in Oxford at the Ashmolean where they are having their wedding reception in May.

It's going to be a gorgeous wedding and I can't wait to tell their story in pictures.

We've now had a week of blissful spring weather but when we woke up to blue skies and sunshine last weekend it was very special as it was probably the most glorious day of the year so far.

Not long now until the big day...

Pre Wedding Shoot - Chris & Maria

On Saturday I finally met Chris and Maria - a lovely couple who's wedding I'm shooting at Eastwell Manor, Kent in August this year. We met in the coffee shop at Fulham Palace and spent half an hour or so going over details of the day.

After this we did the pre-wedding shoot - as ever this was about them getting used to me, the camera and some gentle direction.

As you can see from the images they were quite comfortable being loved up and affectionate in front of the lens so I can't wait to capture how they are both feeling on the big day.

And I can't wait to see Maria's dress....

Bridal Lingerie

There are so many details in planning a wedding but one that can be a lot of fun is your wedding day/night/honeymoon lingerie.

Fortunately, Agent Provocateur have launched a new range of bridal lingerie which “marries ladylike romance with cheekiness in true Agent Provocateur style”. Their underwear really does make you feel incredibly special so it is definitely worth considering.

If it’s feeling special in a slightly less flirty way that you are after, try La Perla’s bridal range for classic, sophisticated support.

Victoria Holt’s company Fred & Ginger started in 2007 from her desire to create beautiful individual pieces which reflect the sophistication and elegance of a bygone age. It’s 1950’s Hollywood glamour offering comfort and luxury with a contemporary design edge.

Enjoy!

Oh - and obviously if you are a real lingerie fan then you need to think about doing a boudoir session with me. It's not just about the knickers though - so if you are a fan of jewellery and heels too....

Wedding shoes for brides - gorgeous!

I blogged recently about my visit to the Designer Wedding Fair and how I was lusting after the Temperley dresses and general vintage glamour theme. What I didn't touch on was the shoes. Now - shoes were the thing that took me the longest to find when I got married. I trawled up and down Bond Street and finally settled on a very simple pair of Chanels. How things have changed.

Not only has shoe design evolved in the wedding industry but my own exposure to fabulous heels has increased ten fold since embarking on boudoir photography. Without a doubt women can feel very passionate about their shoes - they can evoke strong emotions, enhance silhouettes and finish off that killer look.

Whether you are after towering heels or pretty flats, finding your perfect pair is likely to be high up your ‘to do’ list. With a focus on unusual and vintage look shoes, I’ve found a couple of wonderful websites which I wanted to share…

Emmy offers a beautiful collection of elegant and glamorous vintage-inspired wedding shoes. Each shoe is individually custom made for you, and they can provide hair accessories to compliment your choice.

Or perhaps a pair of ‘Harry’s’. Her unique vintage inspired footwear is produced as a result of her own search for wedding shoes and are stylish with a contemporary edge (and can also be dyed to any colour you wish).

Another shoe designer (who has experience working with Emma Hope and Jimmy Choo) producing gorgeous individually handmade shoes is Diane Hassall. If you have a look at her collection on www.highsocietybride.co.uk you’ll also find a range of other designers from Benjamin Adams to the Rainbow Club.

Good luck in the search for your ideal heel!
